Also none of our group of bloggers are children's magicians so we didn't make it to the children's competition, but I can tell you the results were...third place, Jimmy Carlo, second place went to David Tompkins, and first place to Oscar Munoz.

David Kaplin's lecture was certainly different from any of the others. Lots of new ideas to create visual effects that used to be done by someone pulling a thread offstage. Mostly electronic methods which could also be used to turn music & sound effects on and off. Great to watch but complicated to use, don't expect to see many magicians using them.
